about

This album presents musical creation of the composer Piris Eliyahu, which was influenced by the landscape and mystical spirit of the Judean desert in Israel, where the composer has been living for the last several years. "A Chant for the Observer" is kind of personal diary of the composer, which exposes a complicated world of feeling and thought and takes the listener to some magical moments between a dream and reality.
The musical language of this compositions merges Dastgah scale of Persian origin with elements taken from European classical music. The melodies formulas and the distinctive rhythms of the compositions were created in the course of composing work with original material of Dastgah and artistic introspection of the composer.
